 On our guided tour, you will discover the 300-year-old history of Freemasonry and experience the ornate splendour of the hall's ceremonial areas.  Afterwards, you will have time to explore the museum, which charts the traditions, values and global significance of Freemasonry through the ages.

We are delighted to offer you a very special opportunity to enjoy a private evening tour of Westminster Abbey accompanied by former choristers from the Abbey, know as The Purcell Club which was founded in 1927.  These evening visits feature historical talks and intimate choral performances inside the darkened Abbey.

 We have received an invitation to take part in a tour on Saturday 20 March 2027.

 Formed in the 1920’s, The Purcell Club is a male voice group drawn from members of the Westminster Abbey Old Choristers Association who provide tours of Westminster Abbey to raise money for the Abbey itself and various carefully chosen charities.  The tours are designed to give guests a detailed introduction to the history and architecture of the abbey as they move around the building from one location to the next.  At various points there will be a pause for an appropriate piece of music sung by Purcell Club members which may date from 16th to 21st centuries.  The finale will be a short piece played on the Abbey’s magnificent organ. 

 FIFTEEN places are available - cost £50 per person.  There will only be 75 guests maximum in the Abbey for this tour.

 Time : 6.45 p.m. The evening will conclude about 9.15 p.m.
